Ashley Lazaro
Ashley Lazaro is the CDC-CCR Grants Manager, and previously served as the CDC-CCR Grants Coordinator and as the CDC-CCR Grant, Training Officer 1. She is the first in her family to graduate from a 4-year university. Her family migrated from the Philippines to San Diego and then her parents moved to Arizona when she was seven. She holds a Bachelor's in Public Health with a minor in Biology and a Master's degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Indigenous Health, from Northern Arizona University. While at NAU, Ashley worked for the Partnership for Native American Cancer Prevention (NACP), a program funded by The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and The National Cancer Institute (NCI). She currently serves as the Grants Manager for the Arizona Advisory Council on Indian Health Care's CDC-CCR Grant, where she works with Community Health Representatives. Ashley is passionate about improving Tribal health and hopes to continue working within Tribal communities.
