AACIHC State Budget Requests

The State of Arizona's fiscal year begins on July 1st and ends on June 30th of the following year. The fiscal year is named according to the calendar year of its last month. 

• For example, State Fiscal Year 26 (SFY26) begins on July 1, 2025 and ends on June 30, 2026. 

The Arizona Advisory Council on Indian Health Care (AACIHC) submits its budget proposal in conjunction with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment Systems' (AHCCCS) budget proposal for each upcoming fiscal year. Submission of a budget proposal is not guarantee of approval, and all budget proposals for all State agencies are subject to availability of State General Funds. The below preliminary budget requests do not necessarily reflect the contents of the Executive Budget Proposal or budget allocations determined during the legislative process. These are the initially submitted budget requests by the AACIHC, submitting in conjunction with the AHCCCS request, for the upcoming fiscal year.
