Ashley Lazaro is the CDC-CCR Grants Coordinator, and previously served as the CDC-CCR Grant, Training Officer 1. She is the first in her family to graduate from a 4-year university. Her family migrated from the Philippines to San Diego and then her parents moved to Arizona when she was seven. She holds a Bachelor's in Public Health with a minor in Biology and a Master's degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Indigenous Health, from Northern Arizona University. While at NAU, Ashley worked for the Partnership for Native American Cancer Prevention (NACP), a program funded by The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and The National Cancer Institute (NCI). She currently serves as the Training Officer 1 for the Arizona Advisory Council on Indian Health Care's CDC-CCR Grant, where she works with Community Health Representatives. Ashley is passionate about improving Tribal health and hopes to continue working within Tribal communities.
